Automation is the future of technology. Being omnipresent in today's industry, its dynamic application offers service to a wide range of audiences. This project deals with two vehicles, namely the Leading Vehicle, the purpose of which is to sense a given path, complete it, and aid the second vehicle, namely, the Guided Vehicle throughout the entire track.
This project combines both the concepts of electronics and communication. The electronics are used to build the prototype, and communication is used for guiding. The design and fabrication was done with the help of components such as the Arduino Microcontroller, the RF-Antenna, 12 Volt DC Motors, guiding sensors, all the way down to the design and construction of the Guided Vehicle Chassis. A power grid was also implemented to help convenient distribution of power through the vehicles.
This prototype presents wide variety of applications from systems able to assist the visually impaired, elderly, and handicapped individuals to road maintenance services such as cleaning and tarring.
Building a mechanism that would provide a reliable and effective means of transport is of paramount significance.
Making roads safer will help in saving lives, manpower and time.
